Bank ABC in Jordan and Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans have renewed their collaboration to support the education of eight students

Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans and Bank ABC in Jordan have recently reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration by announcing the continuation of their partnership for the current year. This partnership aims to enhance educational opportunities and support for 8 youth orphans benefiting from Al Aman Fund, with the goal of assisting them in their educational journey and achieving their aspirations. The scholarship provided by the bank covers all costs for three students who are graduates from care homes, including university education and a monthly allowance, as well as capacity building programs and mental health support. Additionally, the sponsorship funds the education of five other orphaned students from poverty pockets areas by covering their university education costs for the entire academic year. 

This initiative is part of Bank ABC in Jordan ongoing efforts to support education and empower orphaned youth, by enabling the students to become active participants in the workforce.  It also represents a reflection of the Bank’s social responsibility. 

Mr. George Farah Sofia, the General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, commented on this initiative, saying, “We are proud to collaborate with Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, and we are always striving to support orphaned youth to enable them to achieve their ambitions. We believe that education is fundamental for building their future. Through these scholarships, we aim to provide suitable living conditions for them to support and develop their skills and help them achieve success.”

Ms. Noor Homoud, the General Manager of Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, expressed her gratitude for this partnership, stating, “We are grateful for this partnership, and we always work towards giving full support to our students, through providing educational and training opportunities, living support, and working opportunities to enhance their capabilities and skills; especially with the bank’s belief in the necessity of investing in the future of our youth through their sustainable partnership with us.”

This initiative is an important step in enhancing cooperation between the banking sector and the community, contributing to sustainable development and supporting needy groups in Jordan.

Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans was established in 2006 as a non-profit organization by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. A leading entity in supporting orphaned youth, through its education and rehabilitation programs, it aims to secure the future of orphaned youth above the age of 18. Since its inception, Al Aman Fund has benefited over 4,872 orphans, 66% of whom are female, with 3,473 having graduated and embarked on their professional lives.
